English 11-3 B/D Days, Block 2
The following activities took place in class today.:
1) Student Strategies for Success" booklets were collected and checked for Crit Lens Rubric notes (+10 points), Goal Setting (+10 points) and Scavenger Hunt completion (+20 points).Homework due next class:
2) Students were assigned the task of organizing their Student Work Folders in the following manner (this info was handed out in class on a slip of a paper):"1. Put the contents of your Student Folder in chronological order beginning with Unit 1 and ending with Unit 5: The House on Mango Street, The Crucible, The Things They Carried, Brian’s Song + Independent Unit 4 Reading Novel, and Of Mice and Men.3) Parallel Assessment 4 was administered. PA 4 is a simulation of Part 3 of the English Regents, which requires students to Read and Write for Literary Response.
2. Place all short story, poetry and written work with the appropriate Unit.
3. Discard (try to recycle them if possible) Proofreading Practice Worksheets.
4. Anything you are unsure of (Quote of the Day, Grammar, etceteras) place at the back.
5. DO NOT LOSE THIS FOLDER!"
1) Complete organization of Student Work Folder.Remember, it is YOUR responsibility to see the teacher PRIOR to Advisement and arrange for a pass when you need assistance with any home/classwork.
2) Complete Literary Terms Cross Word Puzzle 1.
