1) Paragraph Proofreading Practice: "Talking About Time."

2) Writing Journal Prompt 9: Select one of the strands on the Anticipation Guide, express an agreement or disagreement and explain why.

3) A guided discussion took place to review the driving elements of "The American Dream," which led into...

4) Student Guide for Unit 5: Of Mice and Men distributed and reviewed some biographical information about the author, John Steinbeck.

5) Students began reading Chapter 1, pages 1-16. Students should also complete all required elements from the Student Guide pertaining to Chapter 1.

Homework due next class:

1) Read Of Mice and Men Chapter 1, pages 1-16, and complete all required elements from the Student Guide.
