So, Where Are We Now?

As of this past Friday, October 31, all of Mr. Scott's eleventh grade English classes (English 11-1 Day A/C, Block 3, English 11-2 Day B/D, Block 3, English 11-3 Day B/D, Block 3) have completed the coursework for our first unit which revolved around The House on Mango Street and dealt with the themes of Identity and the American Dream.

The culminating activities, some of which are still being graded, include:
1) The Mango Street Map Group Project.

2) Mango Take-Home Test.

3) Mango Critical Lens (completed in-class)

4) Binder & Sort Card checks.
The next two classes will include a series of activities intended to transition us from the first unit and into the second, during which we will be working with Arthur Miller's The Crucible.
