In-Class Today: 3/17 & 3/18

English 11-2 B/D Days, Block 1
English 11-3 B/D Days, Block 3
English 11-1 A/C Days, Block 3

The following activities took place in class today:
1) Paragraph Proofreading Practice: "Birdwatching in Australia."

2) Writing Journal Prompt 3: To Be Great—Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Everyone has the power for greatness, not for fame, but greatness, because greatness is determined by service.” Do you agree that everyone has the potential for greatness? Maybe you think serving others isn’t what makes someone great; if that’s the case, what do you think are the qualifying features of greatness?

3) Brian's Song, pages 52-84 performed in class. Students once again reviewed preceding events from last class work using a timeline graphic organizer. Questions 4-6 from the Brian's Song Student Guide were assigned for completion in class.
Homework due next class:
1) Read the next thirty pages from the Independent Reading novel.
Remember, it is YOUR responsibility to see the teacher PRIOR to Advisement and arrange for a pass when you need assistance with any home/classwork.
